OUR STORY
The Hand Family
The Handmade Forest is inspired by William (Bill) Hand. It all started in the 90's with Bill, a band saw, and a piece of wood. The result was a carved wooden tree that has cultivated creativity throughout generations.

Bill taught his son, Fred Hand, how to create these trees and Fred has continued to nurture the idea, sharing it with his children. By experimenting with different ideas, methods, and materials, he came to the conclusion that this gift must be shared. Our family has honed skills that resulted in artwork, wood burning products, sewing crafts, handmade cards, and more!
ABOUT THE HANDS
Whether you want a beautiful, rustic/outdoorsy decoration, to commemorate a tree from a special location or to have something that is 100% handmade, our products are for you! Not a single one will be like the next, and they will never go out of style.

As you can imagine, Bill and Fred are not the only ones who have refined their creativity into something that others could enjoy. Every product you will come across on this site has been created by Fred, his wife, Becky, or one of his children: Jesse, Rachel, Susie, and Emily. Ultimately, Bill got the ball rolling, but this business was created in order to share the Hand legacy with the rest of the world.

100% HANDMADE, UNIQUE & TIMELESS
As the years have passed, Fred has been able to push the bounds of creativity and has made much more than just trees. He has made gnomes, cactuses, music notes, bears, candle holders, etc....These products are made out of wood, and as we all know, no two pieces of wood are the same. Every product is one of a kind and cannot be exactly replicated.
